IF MANY POLICE OFFICERS TRUST US WITH THEIR CASES, SHOULDN’T YOU?

MESH CASES

Well you readers sure do read through our monthly Newsletter! Thanks for doing that. The reason we know that is because we got 6 calls last month from individuals who have had mesh implants over the years and have developed problems from them. Do you have a mesh implant? We can help you with this if you have mesh implant problems. Please call us at 412-281-8700.

TALCUM POWDER CASES

If you or a loved one developed ovarian cancer after using Johnson & Johnson’s Baby Powder OR Shower-to- Shower Powder for feminine hygiene, please contact us immediately! There already has been a $72 million verdict and a $55 million verdict against Johnson & Johnson as the maker of the talcum powder that leads to various CANCERS, primarily ovarian cancer. The talc particles embed deep in the woman’s ovaries from usage, and eventually leads to cancer. Women who use talc for feminine hygiene have a 30% greater risk of developing ovarian cancer than those who have not. Call me for a FREE meeting!

PRACTICAL LEGAL ADVICE SECTION

Last month’s Newsletter received a lot of good feedback about providing practical legal tips that might help you in your everyday life. We wanted to put out a couple more for this months as follows:

1. Should you appeal your traffic ticket? Absolutely yes. Most speeding tickets are reduced if you take the time to go to the magistrate to contest the ticket. We strongly advise anyone who receives a speeding ticket to go to the hearing. You will be happy you did because not only will it save you money, but it may save you points.

2. What is the crucial date in determining whether a person is Full Tort or Limited Tort? Suppose you had selected Limited Tort on January 1, 2015 but then after reading our Newsletter you decided it was a good idea to change your auto tort option to Full Tort. You make the change on May 1, 2015. Then on May 30, 2015 you are involved in an auto accident. It is the other persons fault. Can you collect money for your pain and suffering under these circumstances? The answer is yes. Why? Because the Courts look to the ACTUAL date that the accident happened to determine if you had Limited or Full Tort.

3. Practical Advice: What is one of Pittsburgh’s best kept secrets? Our low cost housing. If you own your own house, no matter where you live in the Pittsburgh area, it is likely that your same house in California would get three or four times that amount there. In fact, Pittsburgh is one of the lowest housing markets of any major city in America. We should really count our blessings on this. Let’s continue to keep it a hush-hush secret, and know your $200,000 house is worth $600,000 or $800,000 in Los Angeles!

4. What Is The Best Day Of The Week to Book Your Airline Tickets? According to a recent study from the airline industry, Tuesdays are the best day to book your flight for the lowest fares. Good luck!

5. What Kind Of Cases Lead To The Highest Verdicts? If the jury determines that the Defendant in the case has lied or used manipulation or fraud against the Plaintiff, the chances are that the jury will return a huge verdict in the case.

A good example of this is the Talcum Powder cases referenced above. A woman, sitting on that jury hearing what the Defendant did to the victim, will be an awfully upset juror, who wants to send out a message. Hence the verdicts of $55 and $77 million in the cases. Another example is someone driving drunk. The jury often wants to send out the message that they don’t like drunk driving. Therefore, they often give huge awards for those types of cases.

6. What do YOU get out of reading your monthly Newsletter? We know the information in this Newsletter is hardly earth shattering. However, it seems logical if you are reading about current issues in the law every month, that you will get a real good foundation for the law in those areas. We think that is the value of reading our monthly Newsletter, and we thank you for doing that!
