Q: Attorney Tully, I have a suspended driver’s license. I was able to get an occupational limited license to drive to and from work. Can I use it to drive anywhere else? What if I have an emergency situation?
A: Occupational limited licenses (OLL) are not easy to obtain when your license is under suspension. Therefore the Courts strictly construe the Act to only allow you to drive to and from work with it. There is an exception if you have a legitimate emergency medical situation. But you better be coming or going to the hospital if you are stopped. Call me. Bernie
