WHAT IS NEW AT THE TULLY LAW FIRM:
Mary, our faithful devoted secretary recently celebrated her 16th year working at the Tully Law firm. Wow! Congratulations Mary. Everyone who calls our office knows that when they call they usually first talk to Mary. Her pleasant calm voice is very reassuring to concerned callers. Thank you Mary for your 16 years of devoted service. Many more please!
Also, Denise, our senior paralegal, has recently celebrated her 17th year with our firm. Denise how you handle all these files and keep your sanity is completely beyond me.
How lucky am I to have dedicated people like Michael, Mary, Denise, Pam and Angie (our bookkeeper) working WITH ME.
SPECIAL THANKS DEPARTMENT:
I want to take this opportunity to thank Anita Mitchell (3 times), Loretta Owens, Bobby Reed (2 times), Bill King and others for their thoughtful referrals to us of injury victims in car accidents over the past month. Your generous kindness toward our law firm will not be forgotten. Thank you everyone.
WORD OF THE MONTH:
Indigenous – adjective – Native to a specific area. If you lived in Western Pennsylvania all your life you are indigenous to this area.
JOKE OF THE MONTH:
I ate a clock yesterday.
It was very timeconsuming.

TRUCKS MAKING WIDE TURNS:
We currently have 2 cases where our clients have been hurt while driving their car next to a big truck when they both were turning at the same time. Because of the size of the truck it cannot stay in its lane and often comes into our client’s lane striking them and causing serious injuries. To compound this problem, the trucking company’s insurance argues they did nothing wrong and they were just following the flow of traffic. As a result of this, we often must file a lawsuit against the trucking company for their negligence. Have you ever experienced a big truck turning the same way as you and coming in to your lane?
CRUISE SHIP TRAGEDY:
Most of you remember the grandfather who tragically placed his grandchild on a window ledge of a cruise ship, thinking that the child had protection. Unfortunately, a tragedy resulted. The cruise line was sued and the grandfather was charged criminally. Who is responsible? Only time will tell but there is a video of the entire incident which will show how this tragedy occurred.
A SHOCKING LEGAL STATISTIC:
The state minimum ($15,000)for auto insurance in Pennsylvania today is the same as it was in 1978! In Pennsylvania for auto insurance to be only $15,000 is terrible. We have been trying for 25 years to up the state’s minimum level to $50,000. Every time we do the insurance industry, with their lobbyists, blocks our attempts. Why? They want the low minimum because when their insured causes a massive injury to another, they just have to pay out the $15,000 and close the file. Think about that.
RISKY BICYCLE RIDING IN THE CITY OF PITTSBURGH:
Who rides a bike in downtown Pittsburgh? Who is a car driver in Pittsburgh? Who feels frustrated by bike riders? Pittsburgh is pushing to go green which is great. But there is a price to be paid for this. Drivers have to be constantly aware of bike riders pulling out in front of them. And car drivers are angry about this. What is your opinion?
PITTSBURGH SPORTS:
The Pittsburgh Pirates – it happens every Spring. Baseball excitement even for the Pirates! The big question management has to address is how do they get the fans back and believing they really want to pay the $$ to win. Thoughts?
At the time of this writing the Penguins are in the thick of it for making a deep run into the playoffs. Who do you feel should be the Penguins goalie in the playoffs?
Steeler News – We look to be very strong defensively next season. But what about offensively? Can Ben really come back from the surgery and perform at his old level? Can their receivers again rise to prominence in the NFL? Can the team win with their current running backs? These are the biggest issues for the Steelers in 2020. Do you agree?
Your friend and attorney,
Bernard M. Tully
HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY!
