GREATEST ATHLETES OF ALL TIME:
Some people were less than excited to see Tom Brady win a 7th Super Bowl. However no one can deny that we will never see an individual player as successful as Brady. Tom Brady is the greatest QB of all time. Is he the greatest player in all of sports? How do you measure Brady’s accomplishments with Michael Jordan, Babe Ruth, Henry Aaron or Wayne Gretzky?
ACCIDENT RECONSTRUCTIONIST EXPERTS:
Our Law Firm often uses accident reconstructionists as experts to break down exactly how an accident occurred. This can be critical to your case because only an expert who is properly qualified can testify as to causation, or what actions the wrongdoer did to contribute to the accident. The expert can also break down what actions the wrongdoer could have taken to avoid the accident. We recently used an accident reconstructionist to show that the accident would not have occurred if the wrongdoer had only been going 5 mph slower.
INSURANCE COMPANIES AND MEDICAL RECORDS:
You know the insurance company for the person who caused your accident is not on your side. They want to pay you as little $$ as they can to settle your claim. The biggest thing that can increase the value of your claim is to have your injuries documented in the medical records of where you treated. You often do not get any credit for fighting through the pain without seeking medical treatment. The insurance companies place a $$ value on your claim based largely on the amount of treatment you receive. If you are hurt and you need to seek medical treatment, please do so to get better. Also it will help the insurance adjuster when reviewing your medical records. If you are hurt, remember to get medical help.
ANOTHER IDEA TO INCREASE THE $$ VALUE OF YOUR CASE – DOCUMENT YOUR CAR’S DAMAGE:
If you are involved in an accident, do take photographs of your vehicle’s damage. Sometimes after the vehicle is towed from the scene, the insurance company will decide your car is a “total loss” and scrap the vehicle. This means you won’t be able to present photos to the jury of the damage the other side caused to you and your vehicle. Before your car is taken from the scene of the collision, take lots of photos. A picture is worth a thousand words.
NEW NEW TECHNOLOGY – ZOOM AND THE LEGAL PROFESSION:
Have you tried Zoom, the newest platform for online video communication? This is a great method to quickly communicate with clients or loved ones who live far away or can’t travel. It is also a good way to keep in regular contact with friends and relatives. We have a mediation scheduled this month and the defense attorney proposed to us that we conduct the mediation through Zoom. We do prefer doing the mediation in person. But with the limitations due to Covid-19, it may be the best option available. Have you tried Zoom? Let me know.
ST. PATRICK’S DAY – WEAR YOUR GREEN:
If you are Irish, or just want to take part in the festivities make sure to wear green on Wednesday, March 17th. Although this holiday is known for partying, it is also an important day to celebrate the contributions made by Irish-Americans. Be safe and wear your green!

PITTSBURGH PIRATES LOW PAYROLL:
The Pirates are slated to begin the 2021 MLB season with the lowest payroll of any team with a projection of only $30 million. The L.A. Dodgers on the other hand have a payroll of $240 million. Baseball needs a salary cap.
