Granville Township, PA (March 23, 2025) – A Mifflin County fire tanker truck collided with another vehicle and a house Sunday afternoon, causing significant injuries to one of the two firefighters inside.
The incident occurred around noon in downtown Lewistown when the truck from Junction Fire Company was en route to a brush fire in nearby Granville Township, according to a social media post from the fire company.
The truck collided with a passenger car and then hit a nearby residence at North Grand Street and West Third Street, the fire company said. At least one victim was hospitalized shortly thereafter. However, the investigation into the incident remains ongoing, and witnesses were asked to step forward.
