Pittsburgh, PA (July 3, 2025) – The inbound lanes of the Parkway West were shut down near the airport due to a crash and a tractor-trailer fire on Thursday, July 3.
The parkway was closed just before the Pittsburgh International Airport/East 576 Washington (Exit 53) interchange. It’s unclear how many people were transported to the hospital, but EMTs arrived to assess injured victims at the site. Officers confirmed that at least one person was hurt and received medical care.
Fire police directed traffic around the scene, and crews cleared the wreck. However, the investigation into the incident remains ongoing, and witnesses were asked to step forward.
