Common Causes of Traffic Accidents in Pittsburgh

Collisions in residential and busy areas are very common, and there are a variety of reasons why incidents can happen. These are some of them:

  • Driver distraction, such as using cell phones, adjusting GPS, or other in-vehicle distractions.
  • Speeding reduces reaction time and increases the severity of injuries.
  • Failure to yield, particularly at intersections and crosswalks.
  • Poor visibility, especially during early morning, late evening, or adverse weather conditions.
  • Sudden lane changes or misjudged turns at intersections.

Traffic accidents can lead to serious injuries, medical expenses, and emotional stress for victims and their families. Even careful drivers and pedestrians can be affected when others act negligently.
