Pittsburgh Pirates 2015 team and what it takes to get over the hump.

Okay readers this has nothing to do with attorney Bernard Tully, law, personal injury, car accidents, wrongful death or slip and fall cases. This has to do with what it will take for the Pirates to make it to the World Series.

Everyone agrees that the Pirates have had a sensational year. But if they lose the one and done wild card playoff game it will be a hugely disappointing ending to a great season.

So what do they to have to do to get over the hump? They have to do exactly what the 1960 World Champion Pittsburgh Pirates did 55 years ago against the unbeatable New York Yankees. They have to know in their hearts they can win it all. The odds against those Bucs were much worse than the odds against this 2015 team. The Yankees that year had baseball giants like Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra, Roger Maris and Whitey Ford playing for them. The Pirates had a group of rag tag average players on their team. Did I mention the Yankees had won 10 of the prior 12 pennants in the American league? But those Pirates really believed in themselves and that’s all it really took.

The 2015 Pirates have got to truly believe they can beat the Cubs ace in a one game playoff. Right now I don’t think they believe that. Whether or not Garrett Cole can get the job done for them is only half as important as the team believing this is their special year.

The Bucs have the talent to do it. But they have to believe that they can beat the Cubs ace for it to happen.

Well that’s my opinion anyway.

Do you think thePirates can do it ?
