HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY: I hope every Mother has a wonderful day! Moms you deserve to relax today for sure!
WHAT WE TRY TO DO FOR OUR CLIENTS – Videos
In a recent case we had against a trucking company the defense wanted to mediate our case. We provided the mediator all the medical records involving our claim. But to increase the case’s value we wanted to put a face to the records. So we hired a videographer to go out to the client’s house. The videographer interviewed the client, his wife, his family, and others in the community that have been positively impacted by our client. The Mediation Settlement Video that was produced was very powerful and helped personalize the claim. It showed how his life, and the life of his family, had changed due to this motor vehicle collision. The video greatly increased the offer made and our clients were very satisfied with the settlement.
PA LAW – IF DEFENDANT FIXES THE DEFECT AFTER THE ACCIDENT, WILL THIS HELP MY CASE?
In many slip and fall cases, our clients tell us that the defendant fixed the defect that caused their fall AFTER they were injured. Shouldn’t that be proof that the defendant knew the defect was dangerous PRIOR to the client’s fall? Unfortunately, under Pennsylvania law, evidence that the defendant made repairs to the defect after an incident is not admissible. The reason is that it would discourage businesses from fixing any problem out of fear it would be used against them in a lawsuit! Imagine that!

Kenny Pickett is staying in Pittsburgh! After a phenomenal career at the University of Pittsburgh, the Steelers drafted Kenny Pickett with the 20th overall pick in this year’s draft. He was the first quarterback taken in the draft! The quarterback is the most important position in sports. A team isn’t going to succeed big time without a franchise quarterback. Let’s hope Pickett has a long and successful career! What did you think of the Steelers 1st round Draft Pick this year?
PENGUINS NEED TO GET HOT FOR THE PLAYOFFS
When the Pens had successful playoff runs in the past, they always ended their season on a high note and with momentum going into the playoffs. That isn’t the case this year. But with Sid and the team’s experience, let’s hope they can flip a switch once the playoffs begin!
LET’S GO PIRATES
This team is proving to be better than the “experts” predicted this year! With the Pirates young core, and a new general manager who has begun to rebuild this team from the bottom up, the Pirates are going to be a playoff team soon. We have to trust the process that is in place is working!
