Family Sues Funeral Home For Removing Son’s Organs
This case has made national headlines over the death of a youth at a high school. The parents of a Georgia teenager, who was found dead in his high school gym, claim a funeral home participated in a cover-up by removing the child’s organs.
The child’s body was discovered inside a rolled-up gym mat at his high school. An autopsy revealed that his internal organs had been removed and replaced with wads of paper!
City of Denver Sued Over Botched 911 Call
The city of Denver has been sued because a 911 dispatcher botched an emergency call which led to a man’s death. The 911 dispatcher mishandled a call from the victim who told the dispatcher he was being chased by several Latino men in another vehicle. The victim was later killed by the Latino men and the dispatcher failed to relay the message to the police.
$32 Million Awarded In Birth Injury Case
A jury in Philadelphia awarded $32.8 million in damages to a couple whose daughter suffered brain injuries during delivery at a Chester County hospital. The child sustained brain damage after two nurses at the hospital noticed a drop in her heart rate for 13 minutes during delivery, but failed to alert doctors of the drop. The child now suffers from several physical disabilities, which include frequent arm and leg spasms and an inability to control her head motions.
Court Rules Maker of 5-Hour Energy Must Hand Over Its List of Ingredients In Its Drink
The list of ingredients will assist in an investigation into claims that the drink is unsafe for teens.
There have been 92 reports of adverse reactions suffered by consumers after drinking 5-Hour Energy, including reports that link the product to heart attacks and fatalities.

A Court has ruled that an employee’s treating physician, though not a specialist, is competent to testify regarding the exacerbation of the employee’s lupus by the stress she experienced in her workplace.
Parents of Child Who Swallowed Souvenir Penny Sue Zoo
The parents of a 3-year-old boy who swallowed a souvenir penny from a dinosaur exhibit at the Bronx Zoo have filed a lawsuit against the zoo. The child placed the penny in his mouth and immediately began choking. Doctors discovered that a rough edge of the penny lacerated the lining of the child’s stomach.
Portable Toilet Product Liability Case Ends in Settlement
A man was rendered quadriplegic when two of his relatives tipped over the portable toilet he was using. He recently settled with the toilet’s manufacturer and installer, as well as the two relatives, for a total of $5 million.
The victim claimed the toilet manufacturer was negligent for failing to provide ground-spikes with the toilet, despite the fact that the base includes holes for spikes.
Auburn University Sued Over Student’s Murder
The family of an Auburn University student who was kidnapped on campus and later murdered have filed a lawsuit against the school. The victim was kidnapped from a parking lot located on campus in March, 2008.
The parents allege that if the school had heeded the security recommendations in a federal report released prior to their daughter’s death, the child would still be alive today.

Nearly all violent crime in Westmoreland County, PA is drug related, and it costs taxpayers millions of dollars. In 12 years, the death rate from drug overdoses has nearly quadrupled in Westmoreland County.
The Affluence Case – Sixth Lawsuit Filed Over Deadly DUI Crash in Texas
A lawsuit has been filed in connection with a deadly drunk driving accident in Texas that killed four people. Isaiah McLaughlin was one of seven teenage passengers in a pickup truck driven by Ethan Crouch, when it struck a stranded motorist’s vehicle, killing the motorist as well as a minister and two pedestrians who had stopped to provide assistance.
Infamously, a psychologist claimed that the Defendant was a victimof “affluenza” a term used to describe his irresponsible and reckless conduct brought on by his parent’s extreme wealth!
PITTSBURGH TRAGEDY – IT IS JUST MIND BOGGLING
More than 75% of students at Wilkinsburg High School are chronically truant! That is right, 75%. Part of the reason apparently is that Wilkinsburg has gone without a state required truant officer for over a year. Allegheny County, as a whole, has a truancy rate of less than 9%.
